Date: Jan 20
A mountain biking event designed by women, for women, aiming to inspire and encourage those who want to challenge themselves and meet like-minded individuals.
The goal of the event is to provide a fun, non-threatening environment that encourages beginner riders to progress their skills, and experienced riders to challenge themselves and step up their riding to the next level. We will cover the basics of braking and balance, line choice, uphills and roots and obstacles so that you enjoy your riding even more and feel more confident out on the trails.
We are aiming to combine the coaching with a group ride, bike maintenance clinic and social gathering.
The morning session will be skills stations and riding at Bottle Lake and then we will move up to Vic Park for the afternoon riding. In between we will have a decent ‘working’ lunch break with a bike maintenance workshop (TBC whether lunch is bottle or Vic Park).
There is a small chance that we may run the whole event from up at Vic Park but we will let you know on Saturday afternoon. We are doing another reccy on Saturday so will decide on the exact locations once we have seen the start of play on the tracks.
The weather is looking ok at the moment and we will try to run it no matter what, except for if any natural disaster occurs
